Charles E. Hill – CEO, President & Director

Mr. Hill brings over 25 years of business and executive management experience, including all areas of strategic planning and business development as well as finance and accounting. Mr. Hill has been the LAZURE CEO since its inception in 2006 and has been instrumental in all phases of the business including clinical trial design and execution. Prior to LAZURE, Mr. Hill spent ten years with Pistol Creek Company, a large, privately held investment company, ultimately achieving the position of President and CEO. At Pistol Creek, Mr. Hill provided leadership in all areas of operations and finance, including financial reporting, risk management, human resources, and contract negotiations. Prior to Pistol Creek, Mr. Hill served as Controller for Lowe Enterprises Northwest, a pension fund management company where he was responsible for all finance, accounting and forecasting functions. Mr. Hill also served as Assistant Corporate Controller for Omega Environmental, Inc., a public company engaged in the environmental industry. Prior to Omega Environmental, Mr. Hill was a CPA for four years in the audit department of KPMG Peat Marwick in Anchorage and Seattle. Mr. Hill holds a Bachelor of Science degree in accounting from Purdue University.

Joshua Hockett – Chief Technology Officer

Joshua brings over 12 years of engineering and system design experience to LaZure Scientific.  Since joining the company in April 2010, Joshua has led, as the chief system architect, the engineering and development of the LaZure LDAC system currently in use in human clinical trials.  Joshua previously held the position of Program Manager at Synapse Product Development, a contract engineering and design firm, where he lead multi-disciplinary design teams in the development of over 40 products ranging from high volume consumer electronics to one-of-a-kind medical devices for clients including Nike, Syntrix Biosystems and Varia Mobile.  Joshua holds a BS in Mechanical Engineering from California State Polytechnic University, San Luis Obispo, where his studies focused on mechatronics, robotics and system design.  His multidisciplinary background allows him to take on tough science problems and lead the design for complex electromechanical systems.

Paul Lange, M.D. – Director

Dr. Lange graduated from Washington University Medical School and received his general surgery and urology training at the University of Rochester, Duke University and the University of Minnesota. He gained laboratory research experience at the National Institutes of Health and the University of Minnesota, where he was ultimately appointed Professor and Vice-Chairman of Urologic Surgery and Chief of the VA Urology Section. In 1988, Dr. Lange moved to the University of Washington as Professor and Chairman of the Department of Urology. He remained at that position for 19 years and then stepped down to become Director of the Institute for Prostate Cancer Research, a multidisciplinary research initiative of the University of Washington and Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center. In addition, he conducts a large clinical practice in urologic cancer. Dr. Lange has served on many editorial boards including the New England Journal of Medicine. He is a member of numerous professional and honorary societies, served as President of the Society of Urologic Oncology and is a Trustee of the American Board of Urology. He is internationally recognized for his clinical and experimental work in a variety of genitourinary cancers especially prostate and testis and has received many national awards for this work. He has authored or co-authored over 450 articles and three books, including Principles and Practice of Genitourinary Oncology and Prostate Cancer for Dummies.

Perry Di Loreto – Director

Perry Di Loreto brings over 35 years of business experience to the LaZure board. Perry is a principal with Di Loreto Construction and Development, a company he founded in 1977. For the past 20 years, Perry has also been the Managing Member of Nevada Tri Partners, the developers of the 2000-acre master-planned community “Damonte Ranch”. Perry continues to be responsible for the day-to-day operations of this highly successful community. Perry is also the President and Chairman of the Nevada Military Support Alliance, which is dedicated to the support of our military personal and their families that serve in the current war on terrorism. Throughout his career, Perry has been recognized for his business achievements with such awards as “Builder of the Year” by the Northern Nevada Home Builders Association. Perry was recently recognized by the City of Reno for “Outstanding Service to the Community” for his many innovative community endeavors including the dedication of land and financial support for the construction of a new public service and safety center at Damonte Ranch. Perry is a past director of Valley Bank of Nevada and Bank of America, Nevada. He was appointed by Nevada Governor Gibbons to serve with 14 other community leaders on the SB154 committee to determine the financial needs of the Washoe County School District and to propose a ballot question for the 2008 general election to address those needs. Perry is active in the sport of Rodeo, having founded and produced the Reno Invitational “One Day, $1 million” team roping event since 1996. He is also an avid aviator who holds an airline transport pilot’s license for both jet aircraft and helicopters.

Robert Armstrong – Director

Robert Armstrong brings over 30 years of business experience to the LaZure board. After graduating from Santa Clara University, he attended Georgetown University Law Center and received his LL.M. in taxation from New York University. He is a partner with the law firm of McDonald Carano Wilson LLP in Reno, Nevada where he focuses his practice on trusts and estates, taxation, business and real estate transactions, closely-held businesses, private trust companies, and exempt organizations. Additionally, he maintains his CPA license which he has held since 1980. Bob served on the board of Primadonna Resorts, Inc. (“PRMA”) from inception until its merger with MGM Grand, Inc., in 1999 including service as board member of New York-New York Hotel & Casino, during its development and operation prior to merger. He is also a founding member of Tamarack Junction Casino and Restaurant which is a successful local casino in South Reno. Additionally, Bob has served as a senior officer and member on numerous boards including Catholic Community Services of Northern Nevada, Athletic Association of the University of Nevada, St. Reno Philharmonic Association, and the Community Foundation of Western Nevada. Throughout his career, Bob has been recognized for his business and community achievements with such awards as The Best Lawyers in America, Lawyers of America, Superlawyers, and was named in Nevada Business Magazine’s Top 100 Attorneys in Nevada. He was awarded the “Jake Lawlor Award” by the University of Nevada, Reno for outstanding accomplishments in the support of the University’s intercollegiate athletics for over 20 years.

Dennis Weibling – Director

Mr. Weibling is currently the managing director of Rally Capital LLC, a venture capital firm based in Kirkland, Washington. He has served on the board of more than 10 companies, including Sotheby’s board as chairman of the audit and finance committees, a position he’s held since 2006. Mr. Weibling was president of Eagle River, Inc. from 1993 to 2001, and as vice chairman of Eagle River Investments from 2002 to 2004. He served as CEO of Nextel Communications Inc. from 1995 to 1996 and as a Director of Nextel from 1995 until 2004. At Nextel, he was a member and chairman of the operations, audit, finance, and compensation committees at various times during that period. Mr. Weibling served as a board member of Nextel Partners from 1998 to 2006 and chaired the audit committee. He also served on the board of public company XO Communications, Inc. from 1996 to 2003 on the compensation and audit committee. He served as a Trustee for Seattle Pacific University from 2002 to 2013 and as Chair his last four years. He earned his CPA credential and was a partner at Clark Nuber & Co in Bellevue, Washington from 1986 to 1993. Mr. Weibling received his bachelor’s degree from Wittenberg University in Springfield, Ohio and his Juris Doctor and master’s degrees from the University of Nebraska.
